Hire-up was established in 1993 by Kerry Moses, who at Christmas of 1992 was facing redundancy from Chep Hire Towers. Despite advise from both lending professionals and accountants not to pursue the opportunity of purchasing a 25mtr machine. Kerry went ahead anyway under the strong belief that with his back ground in the rental industry, road transport and automotive refinishing and a strong desire to succeed that it was going to be a business that would succeed.
Over 17 years on, the business has moved from sole trading to partnership to limited liability. It has 4 full time staff and 2 part timers. Presentation and safety are two of the main themes in the company and because of the associated cost, the growth of the company has been slow in comparison to similar contractor type operations that try to be everything to every body (other wise known as fly by nighters).
Hire-ups direction has not changed in that it provides a service to get you the customer in the position to do your thing, the safest and most cost effective way they know how.
